After commencing his studies in philosophy back in Estonia in the late nineties, Kaimar decided to add a practical element to his life (and pay his bills) by entering a career in IT. Having moved from technical support to software development in his first years, he soon discovered the world of project management and was soon running a PMO for a government agency. After successfully delivering several key EU projects with his awesome team, Kaimar entered the world of IT service management to help organizations worldwide become better at delivering customer value. Before joining AXELOS – the owners of ITIL and PRINCE2 – in 2014, Kaimar spent three years working with Skype on improving their IT service management capabilities. At AXELOS, his role was to oversee the product strategy and development initiatives for the ITIL, PRINCE2, and the rest of the PPM portfolio. In 2016, AXELOS released a brand new “best ITIL book out there”, ITIL Practitioner, and in July 2017 a new version of PRINCE2 was published.
